So basically i have a cort k4 guitar, and i want to change to pickups that are more sensitive. The cort k4 is much more suited for heavier genres but im thinking if i can get sort of a "satch" kind of sound with it. Suggestions appreciated, THANKS ! :)

lol but im wondering if i can get those pickups on my guitar and get roughly the same sound, considering that the wood and other specs are different

tone is in your fingers. Steve vai will still sound like Steve Vai playing through Van Halen's rig. I recommend Tesla pickups though cheap and good

without a good amp, pup swops are not that noticeable too. in terms of tone.
so make sure u have a deserving amp too. ;)

Haha yeap tesla is good alright. Alot of people does not know they are good and thinking that they are shit pickups. Some guy told me tesla pickups are shit but seriously he doesnt know anything about them. I have Vr-Nitro on my Godin Detour and it rocks ! Try them and u wont regret. Haha (: cheap and good.

Yup, if u play rock and distortions like satch this may be the pickups you need. They are cheap, the nitro i bought is only $80. Available in both neck and bridge pickups. Also, plasma 3 is also good too. They are cheaper than nitros, $65. Hmm but ill say the best combo is Extreme($80) on neck and Nitro on bridge. Haha thats my opinion.

The Fred was his old bridge pickup, i believe he uses the Mo'Joe now. And yes, +1 to Tesla pickups. The PodX3 is a class above the PodXT in terms of drive tones, i suggest you work towards getting that. Then your pickups will sound better. Teslas available thru Mike@SV, Line 6 at Citymusic.

Thanks for all the helpful replies, appreciate it. Btw, which would be a better chioce, Air nortons or joe's pu ? And is it worth it to invest in a cort guitar ?

It all depends on your tastes. You've already got the K4, i don't think it's needful to get another guitar. Go to DiMarzio's website and try the pickup picker. Also, go onto youtube and search for clips of the pickup of your choice. Keep in mind it won't sound the same as it would in your guitr, chances are the reviewer is using a different guitar from you. Just listen to the clips to get a rough idea of what the pickup sounds like.
