WHAT Pickup is randy rhoads using?

RANDY RHOADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

xklusivly4u i thought that photo you took was from Hard Rock Cafe Bali, they also have a Randy Rhoads guitar up there :)

the duncan distortion is a sweet pickup...
some say its powerful as emg but without the battery..i like the tone..

its interesting that the late Randy design the white V with separate vol n tone..
most probably to exploit the tone ...i like his tone esp in the Tribute album lots of bite...the attack is just beautifull..(although it had been remastered)

abt the custom V`s i believe it is equipt with dimarzio super distortion (ard 1979) i think..at that time that pickup is the "in thing"..

the jackson appeared after 1980`s i believe..i hope im right ..

the randy rhoads jackson model utlises the SD super distortion...but thats the signature series......but as for his custom POLKA DOT flying V..that i am not sure if its some Dimarzios or some custom Pickup......
kenzo, this is from the site of sandoval, the actual maker for the custom polka dot flying v. it indicates the guitar was equiped with dimarzio super distortion (b) and dimarzio paf (n). check it out. the guitar is at the bottom of the page:
http://www.karlsandoval.com/index.php?option=content&task=category&sectionid=3&id=9&Itemid=28

this is another site of a collector who have a guitar made by someone else with the exact match of randy's flying v, even to the specs of the neck. it listed the exact same p/u config. check it out:

hope the information is helpful.

thanx dude...

more trivial info:
can u notice the LP type toggle swith located close to the neck joint? its actually on the right side of his bellybutton! (hahahhhha! reminds me of jimi's song bellybuttonwindow!) a strange place to have a p/u switch isn't it? but come to think of it, it makes real sense! another thing noticed is the square block inlays and the 2 vol, 2 tone config of the guitar. i think he wants it to be like his white LP custom. who knows... just my guess.

p.s he rocks big time with ozzy, (& quiet riot too, i have the casette long time back) as all of ozzy guitarists. jake e lee too! (listen to him after he left ozzy and formed badlands. great stuff!)
