every organsier has his/her way of doing it

but i keen to learn more..and i'll try to understand what you guys need..so go on and maybe reply not for the sake of me but organsier around the scene.

You sometimes sounded offensive. And you don't own the local music in singapore. Everyone plays a part in it. Soyeah.

No offences from the previous post. We are still rocking out. No more misunderstanding between us again and the rest alike :)

Oh yah, back to topic, I prefer organizers who works with the bands :) and have good sence of humour, sence of communications and many good sences available. Teamwork is the keyrole in making something a success. Not just money alone.
 
i still think selling tickets is a bitch haha , and i like working with people who are generally anal about details such as punctuality and attitude towards performing and music . A responsible organiser deserves to get rich haha

i agree on this point. its better to pay only when they actually show up, just like paying after you get the goods. Or paying them when they arrive on the dot.

Sorry that the bands played you out after you paid them in advance .... But I'm a man of my word and neither me nor my band has ever let anyone down before.

I guess if you dont agree with my 1st point, I have to respect your decision but chances are we would probably not be engaged by you because on the other side of the coin, I too have been given the run around by organizers and sleazy agents in the past ESPECIALLY when it comes to payment. These days I tend to be extra firm on this issue becoz of all the time I had to waste on legal aspects dealing with these sort of people.

As a band leader handling the event, I have to pay my musicians on the night. I also have to pay my equiptment contractors on the night too after performance. Unless I am assured that the org is confirmed gonna pay me cash on the night, I would insists on the "3 days before cheque rule". Thus far a few event organizers I work with are happy to work with me on this basis as they too have "issues"" with paying cash (for security & accounting purposes). Many a time an org has declined my terms so we just dont work togther - it's simple as that. This is a belief me & my guys share that it's no point getting promised (even with black & white contracts) "big money" but having to go through heaven & hell to get ou money after all the hard work.

If bands are comfortable with the 30 / 60 / 90 days "you invoice me 1st I pay you later" method, power to them coz all of us have our own way bros & sis .....

i mean payment wise to people helping out the event such as renting equip place rent etc etc ofcourse all paid by the night.
normally my events or even pub bands i organised for is paid after played eithr on day itself or within 7days, and normally not cash. haha. i dont know why but all along ive used cheques.

i hope you understand im not stating that thats what evryone does but its like just to be safe kinda thing. i mean no point taking this kind of risk.

Responsible, takes good care of the bands welfare, carrys him/herself well
