What keep u continue playing in a band/music

I feel we have our own reasons and sometimes it is a bit mixed up why we get into bands and sometimes get fired or suffer injustices or whatever. But, still, for people who just join bands for fun and really not serious about being good either themselves firstly or to make more melodious thoughts stirring music, better be off studying get a degree or a Master and quit bands. It is not an egoistic comment but something in our precious human lives to either spend time uselessly or constructively,it is that simple.
For me,it is to convey and express feelings sometimes beyond words to another fellow human being. :)

Hmm.

I've always been enamoured by how a simple box with a pole attached to it can produce a sound that brings people together.

Till this day I never get tired of sitting at home just strumming a simple melody on my acoustic. It can be immensely powerful at times which is why I work so hard at my solo acoustic repertoire.

If the people before fender strats and les pauls could make do without electricity, so could we, I daresay :)

brilliant mindset...
too bad i love the electric so much :P

To play music, is a tribute. The hunger to feel. The feel of exitement. It's not about money. It's not about fame. It's not about sex nor drugs. I've never give up my search for a band. I've come too far to let go. I will never regret, this addiction to music.

well for me, its the music and the enjoyment i get from playing live, may it be in front of my friends, passer-bys who i dont even know and sometimes, to prove certain ppl that i can play really good, just to prove myself. If there's a point where i feel like quiting, i can rely on my band brothers to remind me why i started playing in a band

i play in my band because, we share a common interest, and we want to enjoy ourselves pursuing those interests. :D

I used to be a designer and an avid gamer. I've been playing music longer than either of my past occupations. Quite frankly, to earn a living being a gamer, one must be the best to survive - not easy. How about designing? The same principle applys but not to such extremes.

Anyway, I love music and its what I do best anyway, so...

Hmm.

-3notesAbar- you mentioned you used to be a designer? What form of design were you into?

Prospective Industrial Designer here. :)

hope you can share more.

8O u sure thats not me?

well, in terms of whatever I can do, this is probably one of the few, and I'm happy I'm kinda improving slowly.

Besides that, its fun, too...
Being expressive is another reason why I like what I'm doing.

And maybe if you could change the local music scene in singapore, things would look up, perhaps? (to us maybe, but everywhere else?)

The feeling of playing on stage and have people react when you do something.. Its something else..

Like for example when you do a solo and people go mental.. Even if its one person.. It just feels great.
