What is the latest trend in the music industry for teenager?

There are lots of latest trends in the music industry for teenagers. Teenagers are nowadays attracted to downloading music. Is it the latest trend in the music industry for teenagers?

I always make it a deal to buy albums. they give a better representation of what the band/artist is all about.

Album buying>Downloads

i was never much of downloader..unless i need the song for a jam...other than that...its albums for me..

though I do believe that teenagers nowadays are more drawn to downloading..because they prefer to listen to the two or three (estimation) good songs from that certain artist...and beautify their iPod/Creative/iRiver (doesnt apply to all).

usually teenagers prefer to download and listen to only a few songs from bands coz:
-they classify their music by genre and rarely view the music coming from a band (my own intepretation as most teenagers always talk about "what genre do you listen to" rather than "what band do you listen to?")
-they want to tell their frens about that band,but only want their frens to listen to the good stuff.

i have much more idea over this,but lets just leave it at that

the way that you describe it, "Teenagers are nowadays attracted to downloading music" suggests that it's trendy or cool to download music. Which isn't really the case since downloading isn't seen as cool or fashionable by teenagers. It's more of a why-pay-when-I-can-get-it-free mentality and because a lot of people listen to maybe 1 or 2 songs off one album instead of the entire thing. Don't really think it's because of wanting to boast of their wide range of musical experience etc though.

Maybe most teens only listen to the singles where others also listen to it to.. You never know maybe some other songs in it may be better than the singles.. So better to buy the whole album rather than downloading.. You can rarely see a person with all full album from a band on their mp3.. Mostly the singles..
