What is the best gigbag for electric guitar?

Mono is a good buy, but it's quite heavy and i find the body build and the strap really stresses the back (at least for me) especially when i carry my LesPaul out my back is crying man. So far Reunion Blues bag is the most protective bag i ever saw but it's heavier than Mono.

Lol hi jasper.
Not just DMAT discount,
all SP students =3

The fusion looks wayyy more stylish imo compared to the squarish stocky look of the mono, but hey its just my two cents worth of design sentiment.

I preferred the fusion cos it feels lighter and its way more comfortable to carry around, due to the foam deuter-like air flow inserts :)

In-case is the best in terms of protection.

If not, Red Dot Music should be re-entering the gig bag business again according to Cherns. Theirs IMO is better than MONO.

The 20% discount for SP Students is quite misleading, had a classmate who went to buy a POD HD500 thinking that he'll get 20% discount ended up with only like 5% more discount because the price they've listed are already 15% off or something. So yeah, doubt you'll get that much of a discount, best to call them up first.

mono all the way for me. it really beats lugging around a tweed or lifton case.

however for travelling, i still use the lifton for my lp since the mono still gives a bit of a stress on the angled headstock of a lester. and historics have this crazily dangerous cut-off angle where the truss rod slot is. so i'm also a bit careful when lugging around my lp with it.

peace.

Oh... Thanks man! Was thinking of getting a Mono Cymbal bag, now gotta check with them the price before going down already.

Really? Cool, looking forward to that.

So far, the best one I've seen spec-wise is the iGig case. If you can get pass the silly name, it's actually a damn good gig bag. They started making bags for bass guitars but they have an electric guitar line as well. It's pretty expensive, but you get what you pay for.

i'm still using my RDM bag....if Cherns is coming back with new bags, he can consider making the front pockets a little bigger/deeper.
