ahha i tried to find those last time.. couldnt find any..
my rhythm guitarist used to bring back those gauges from america, but now he not coming back to sg for quite some time, so i started using other brands already

i think ernieball do sell those heavy bottom guages. i think its a hybrid or something. i saw it at a shop in peninsula. i forgot the shop name but they're the one displaying deans at the window.

still randomly tryin strings for LP.. haven found a nice comfy set as yet..

i just bought a d'addario light top heavy bottom at swee lee just now. same gauge as the ernie ball skinny top heavy bottom ahaha

I'm using gauge 9s. But prefer 9s-46s to 9s-42s. It's more chunky att he low ends. I uses GHS Boomers(Used to use Ernie ball reinforced). Although it isn't as toneful as Ernie Ball but it last much long for me

i haven't tried other brands before. but i do know ernie ball strings do sound great.
imo, ernie ball strings aren't that expensive. seen some really really ridiculous prices on strings.

11-48 ernie ball power slinky... heavier gauge = longer natural sustain.

actually, before i started using all this d'addario and ernie ball strings. I used to use those cap "ayam" or cap " harimau" strings on acoustics. Man, they hardly rust although i play everyday.

^ yeah i second that... back when i was younger, those were the only ones i could afford. and the kapok one as well... if i can recall correctly, the string envelope has got a flower design on it... hahaha... and yeah it NEVER rusts, though i play it everyday, and my palms sweat. sadly they (the strings) never get the recognition they deserve. lol!

my first ever guitar at 11 years old... hehe... fantasticset of strings but man, the action was killer high. remembered playing iron maidens, scorpions and black sabbath on tat guitar..... long gone days.
