I want to learn electric guitar but the tabs on the internet are too hard. Can someone tell me what are some easy intro songs? Thanks

Come as you are - Nirvana has a cool intro yet easy to play
alot of Blink 182 songs is cool to learn though,I don't know any..but I heard from my friends that they are easy to learn.

that means the tuning is G? How to tune the guitar to Key G? Sorry for such a stupid question. Just started learning electric guitar

no need to tune to G, just play the chords/notes in the KEY of G etc etc.

imho if you're just starting, do some chording first. get your strumming right before doing anything. at least that's what i did.

Actually I played acoustic guitar before. So now I don't want to learn strumming again. What do you mean by chords in the Key of G?

dude, juz learn happy birthday 1st.. i feel you are doing a big jump as you dun even understand the meaning of key of G..

do happy birthday in the below ways:
-try many different keys to play that song
-try to sub jazz chords like 7ths 13ths n such in..
-do in many different strumming pattern
-learn to pick the melody out in all different kinda picking method
-change the whole progression to minorish
-understand how a major n minor chord, how they work

there are just way damn many ways you can learn from a simple song like this.but unless you just wanna have fun learning songs from tabs.

Key of G

means

G A B C D E F G

you start to play the song with G chord,

like happy birthday

you play G D D G G C G D
something like this i forget happy birthday chords. haha

you can explore using this set of chords G A B C D E F G

Key of C is

C D E F G A B C

something like this..i think so lah..i also not sure..correct me somebody?

haha..i didn't take up lesson.. i read forum and try to figure it myself lah..

coz their theory quite confusing..

best get yourself a teacher.

You've got some parts of the theory right...

Playing in the key of G[If you learn vocal theory]-it means that your doh is the note G.

The whole song is played with an emphasis in the sequence GABCDEFG with the first G being the low doh and the last G being the high doh.

Now, this should be simple to understand...

dude, if you've played acoustic before, the ground should be there. but you shouldnt ever be too lazy to pick it up again, it helps going back before moving forth

I'm not really very sure. Just look around in ultimateguitar.com for those easy tabs then play. But I wish to play songs by Guns N Roses but it is to fast for me

Try playing Knocking on Heaven's Doors by Guns & Roses since you're interested in them - It's a very simple G D C progression that repeats throughout the song (or G Am C -> G D C if you want to be exact)

i got a fren..he started out playing guitar with chord strumming..

his first song was hotel california..took him 2 weeks to be able to strum it right.

i dunno if 2 weeks is too long or not..but nevertheless..he benefits in the end.
