What easy intro songs for electric guitar?

Like some of the bros who have mentioned it before, if you have a background in acoustic, there shouldn't be a problem understanding what key of G means, unless if you need brushing up. Bro, saying that you don't want to learn strumming again because you have done so before is not a good habit. One should always learn, unlearn and relearn every skill, and not just in music too. It refreshes you and reinforces what you have learned.

Established guitarists like Satriani, Vai, Clapton, Beck....they've probably mastered every single scale and mode there ever is, but you think they don't go back and relearn and practice them?

In the first place, do you aim to be a lead or rhythm guitarist? What kind of music do you want to learn? You always have to start small dude. I made the same mistake.

Years ago when I first picked up the guitar, I wanted to learn how to play When The Children Cry. Bear in mind that these were the days when there was no internet, so I went to the MPH at Parkway Parade, snuck a look at a music chord book and copied down the chords myself. I went back home, learned the chords, but I realised that I couldn't play it cos I had no basic rhythm technique be it strumming or plucking. So I enrolled for a simple folk guitar lesson at Emmanuel Music School in Bedok. The first lesson the instructor taught me was strumming patterns. Yes, it seemed dull but it opened my eyes to the secrets of rhythm patterns. My first song was El Condor Pasa.....simple 3 chord song. From there, I learned other things like finger picking.

I didn't learn lead playing there though, it was something I picked up myself and after so many years I'm still learning and relearning what I have learnt.

So the moral of this long grandfather story is:
1) Start simple and small
2) Take small progressive steps
3) Never disregard skills that you have learned before
