What does a power mixer accualy do and how does it work???

Yea i'd just like to know what does it do and how it works.

it is actually a mixer with a built in amplifier. so, all you have to do is just connect the speakers.

WEll powered mixer are not that heavy and you can use that to record your other insturment but make sure ur mixer have enough channel

Yeah. anyway powered mixer is for those who wanna save space. so instead of getting another Amplifier to drive the speakers (house or Monitors) they get power mixer so that they kinda save space. obviously theres pros and cons hope this helps.

and for recording. make sure you have enough channel as in you thought about the size of a mixer. cause you might need like 8 channels somewhere there just for drums. guitars ? bass ? vocals ? Keyboard ? so you have to really plan ahead.
