what do you do when your picks wear out?

Each person's picking style is different.. I havent worn down a jazz3 pick before but i have worn down many teardrop shaped tortex pics.. I use the green ones but cant remember the thickness.

How long does it take for u to wear out a tortex pick?Mine seems to last forever, why is that so?

hmm.. Usually about 2 or 3 hours of practising per day. 2-3 days is enough to wear it off.. it depends on playing style too.. Im an alternate-picking junkie.. so.. yea.. =)

i use my going-to-be-worn-out picks for home practice and save the good ones for jam sessions and gigs... rofl

omg... tortex sharp...thats like a tank la... at least for me.

I hav never worn out ANY pick except Jazz III.

ALl my other pick are like immortal, dun ask me...

im an ex-3mm Stubby user...just like sub. my picks wear out with alarming frequency-a proponent testimony to my style of play. I used to wear out about 6 picks a month on average.

Now i use V-picks.....and i've been using the same medium pointy for about 3 months already...So even though the initial cost is expensive... i still save in the long run :lol:

I have never ever ever worn out a pick before..
It's because I misplace them even before I had the chance.. Recently bought 4 Jazz III's.. Now left with one! Lol..

i just wanna know do different size pick effect the sound when we strum?
and wat pick or wat size pick is best for a bassist?

does it affect playing?no dont think so.unless you put v-pick into the equation.
best pick for bassist?1.0mm or heavier maybe?
