What distortion/overdrive pedal to use?

its above ur budget, but its tonal varieties is really really good. i bought myself one, and its really teh power. For me, i think it really sounded great through a tube amp and using a single coil guitar. The pedal can be tested at tymusiccenter down at peninsular. It's one pedal that should be in one's choices of ODs.

i have a strat with texas specials and i own the SD1 and BD2. the texas specials give u tat vintage vibe, that there and not there type of drive when u whack hard at it. it responds very well to ur playing nuances. which i guess is great for blues playing...cos blues is all abt the feel
as for the sd1, it gives u a very obvious mid hump, kinda glassy sounding kinda drive, some people hate it, some people like it. I like it for the crunchy tone it gives. So u have to try it out to noe
as for the bd 2, i find the highs abit shrilly, and i don turn the tone knob beyond 12oclock. Like someone say it lacks the mids. but when u combine the sd1 and bd2, it sounds pretty sweet
