yeah man :) hehe.. see you tmr @ the weekendTrip. thanks for dropping by to catch our set (although i know u were late for ur movie). many apologies.

FishTank set was awesome. They really know how to work the crowd :)

Monofone's cover is indeed gre8. Nice efx & tightness~

Kudos to the organizers, to Ben, Roslan & the entire crew, plus Mr Jon Hemsley on the PA console~

i was very impressed with the whole event. good job to roslan and team. the rain didn't dampen the youths. lol. crazy moments in the crowd but all in the name of good fun la.
free drinks are cool.haha.

great lineup.
great sound.

lookin forward to more weekend trips!
it's been a while since Youth Park saw that kinda action. :)

really awesome show.... but guys.... please RESPECT THE SPACE!!!!!

dun go and kungu mosh to a slow song lah... cmon man
and even if u want to for whatever reason kung fu mosh or whatever u call that...... make sure u have alot of space.

.. punch kick punch kick. was looking forward to 180's set, but go into the pit and got whacked. Went to the sidelines, I see all the scene kids targetting each other. Elbow here fist there. Somebody eye kena punch, amongst other injuries.

Fishtank's set, got circle pit, posers go inside flailing their arms, mosh properly la, people fall down all never pick, still push somore. What happened to the unwritten code. and the idiots stage dive until like spasm. people carrying you to surf, you go kick kick kick for what I have no idea. kick until the person carrying you kena the head, he fall you fall all fall.

Ska song supposed to skank or just normally mosh, suddenly become some deathcore pit or what. Kung Fu until ownself fall down also shiok.

And the sponsor give drinks. Idiots go take the drink and throw around at everyone. What the hell man.

Argh... just a little frustrated at the local scene la. don't mind me. peace.

P.S overall the gig was still pretty good.

typical small kids in the pit la. and those matreps, i don't know why they were around too. irritating bunch of people. why can't they just stay at home or their stupid handout places.

thanks to the organisers cause the set was awesome. one-eighty was crazy. monofone covered knights = awesome. fishtank lagi awesome (why can't they just skank and mosh) no fashioncore dancing la sia. silhoutte = awesome too.

more bands please. make it earlier.

Free gig what .. so all the kung fu go show their tough guy shit. nothing against them, but effing do it when the area is cleared up for you to hxc dance la. (there was an area cleared up occasionally) mosh pit suddenly become kung fu pit = many injuries.

If something bad happens eg. blood , loss of a body part, or maybe even death. Do you guys realise whats gonna happen?

Bad publicity = no sponsor = no gig = what the hell back at square one. Which probably means for many young not famous upstart bands to sell 32742394729347923742394 tickets to play at redbar or DXO or whatever venue.

i was there too.
the 180 set was crazy.
but these guys spoiled it.
ya,hxc dancing is fine but do it at the right time.
fishtank set was crazy too.
but the young crowd spoiled it.
hurting each other and all.
monofone set is like watching a muse concert.
really sound like muse.
in fact,i can hear some muse riffs on their songs.
but overall they were, tight and great
fishtank is back.
they played their old and new stuff.
their new stuff is much more like grunge, new wave stuff.
but the stole the show.
the crowd is the biggest ive seen in previous weekendtrip.
one eighty is an example of what pure punk rock should be.
the energy is awesome.
the drummer is crazy.
their set was violent!
silhouette was awesome.
really tight.
really energetic.
their showmanship is 10/10.
but signs of tiredness can be seen in the last song.
but kudos to them.
the vocalist has a superb voice.
really powerful.
the guitarist is a genius.
really fresh riffs and sound.
really remind me of incubus and love me butch.
and they covered glassjaw, which is not an easy thing to do.
but still.
fishtank's set was the best.
they were dancing around on stage enjoying them selves.
and the crowd too.
awesome job to the organisers.
good floor design,soundcraft stage settings.
awesome!

one eighty was so awesome! but majority of the fans, esp the SCENE kids.... did they come for the music and to have fun or did they come to show off their new taekwando moves.... i dont know.
was having fun during the 20 sec circle pit, before some "punks" came in and thought "well, since i dont know what is going on, i might as well try to fit in and 'moshing'" but moshing to them obviously means punching and kicking the air. hardcore dancing is alright, but how many breakdowns were there in the songs? and people have to learn to only hardcore dance when there is space and a pit for them to go in and do it. let the xcore kids hurt each other and hurt themselves, not other people who dont wanna be part of it.

and by the way, thumbs up on the free drinks. thumbs down to the people who poured green tea over the crowd

To the people on the boards, audience, friends/family and random people i chatted with at the show last night:

Thank you for your comments - complains and compliments. we appreciate all the feedback and concerns given to us regarding the show. Invasion Productions will look into the areas which we can control. As for everything else, it all boils down to personal responsibility and moral courage. You guys have already listed them out quite nicely. Awareness is already half the battle won. However, we are very relieved, that a handful of you have a good understanding of the difference between hurting others and having a good, safe time at a show.

Most of you may not know part of the Invasion team(also from Doubleyellowline):
Lokman, Hambril, Fairoz, Eileen, Lin and of course Mr. Roslan. Not to mention Ida & Dex from Scape.

An introduction for them is in order. Without them, there would be no gig proper.

Of course, the bands were nothing less than awesome-rrific. They were very cooperative and we like working with bands with good work ethics. No matter the genre. /m/

Thank you to everyone who was there to witness it and to support it. A very memorable evening indeed.

i lost my specs at 180's set.. but i didn't mind, coz it's all in the name of keeping punk rock elite.. =)

and monofone was awesome, although it was too much like muse.. but they're great to hav been able to pull off something like that..

fishtank was grooovvvvyyy~~!

sori i missed silhouette, got sum skool stuff..

bottom line: as for those "punks", "skinheads" and those culture fanatics, show ur aggression to the system (if THAT is wat you're against), not show ur aggression to the people in the pit.. In the pit, it's all love..

Kudos to DYL and invasion productions for bringing in Weekend Trip..
