WAT shld ido ??? really need help !!

hi everyone .. im a newbie on the guitar and have been aimlessly playing on the guitar for around 1 year. i only play songs from artists and would really like to improve as a guitar player ..

i wanna learn theory and become like a guitarist .. as in able to solo freely and so on .. wat shld i do ??? plz start me off on my journey towards success and helping me realize my dreams cos i really dun noe wat to do .. THX !!

try reading up on primary basic scales .. one site i would recommend is www.guitartricks.com good luck man..
