Want to learn how to play keyboard, should go to school or private tutor?

Hi Guys,

First off, I've never ever in my life learn any musical instruments, but I've always wanted to learn piano or digital keyboard. Anyway, now I've decided to reward myself and really start trying to play digital keyboard.

Wanted to try Yamaha School but read in some forum schools might not be good for adults, old adults , can't blend in. Oh yah, btw, I'm 37 years old guy.

So should I go for school or get private tutor? If private tutor, can anyone recommend private tutor who can teach Digital keyboard?

I want those modern music, think you call it pop music? And it must be English music, not Chinese pop because I'm a Malay guy .

I'm not trying to go for certification or join a band . Just want something that I can play on my own and relax.

Really appreciate if you guys can give me advice and recommendation. I don't want to wait anymore, want to reward myself!!!

You can try play by ear music school. They teach both English and chinese pop songs. They focus on one to one individual coaching so you no need fear even if ur a beginner. No one hears you play except ur instructor. They dun teach boring basic stuffs like do re mi or what keys they go straight teaching you skills from songs.

recently, i went to pbe to sign up for piano classes. Apparently, they said there are no slots available and was placed under a waiting list.
