wad is the diff?

For me the rolling glide and power glide feel relatively the same ...depends on how the spring tension and footboard heights set individually by each of my friends. Has anyone one tried the Flexi Glide before? The Elim strap feels pretty good for speed but a little hard to get the syncopated stuff going without some practice.

I was thinking of just getting the eliminator next so I can have a rolling glide..bolling glide....powerglide.....and flexi glide  But I love Tama's durability and was hoping to try a Flexi Glide one day.

no.if its the same what for have a different name haha.

the difference lies in the cam action. power glide gives more power as the beater travels to the batter head. whereas rolling glide is a perfect uniform cam thus a straight travel. some users have posted comments on other forums that...the power glide LAGS abit when waiting for the beater to return back to original position.makes sense...if it accelerates to batter...it decelerates to point of origin...its all abt the different feel.

flexi glide in itself i think has a different cam too.i THINK ah.not so sure abt this 1.

theres no diff between flexi, rolling or power except the CAM action.

well if u want smth that can change these feels for different situations or needs...get the elims...comes with interchangeable cams...

i think you wouldn't say its faster. going in depth on what frummer said. for powerglide, the initial step on the pedal causes it to 'fly' towards the head with more FORCE then what is applied. Think physics. think moments. less strength for more power. as the beater passes the axle perpendicular to the floor, it increases its velocity very quickly. this is due to the shape off the cam which is uh...not uniformly round.....yea... less force reduction before the beater reaches full strength.

the rollingglide however has turning action which is proportionate to the amount of force you put in. meaning that it has a very uniform feel. on the movement.think Force directly proportionate to the energy you put into the kick. this is due to the uniform round cam. i guess another way to put it is it feels more natural. Hope this helps.

thanks freakae for ur input but i didnt really understand haha sorry lol...is there anywhere i can the the both?on a bass drum?
