Ok, so i was playing on the hyde channel, and decided to get a bit of boost for a solo part using the jekyll channel. i step on the jekyll switch, NO BOOST! i check all the knobs are at the correct settings. so i turn of the hyde channel and try the jekyll channel. only clean sounds!! i was horrified! i keep stepping a few times just cos i couldn't believe it, sometimes the channel comes on, sometimes just clean sound! the LEDs work fine btw.
ok so i calm myself down and turn off the jekyll channel. i switch on the hyde! NO LED and NO SOUND!
i open up the pedal and realise a bit of the trace at the switch of the hyde channel has come off. ok so i solder all the lugs of the switch directly to the next component on the board. test it and now the hyde channel works fine. whew!
i look at the jekyll, but can't seem to find anything wrong with the traces or soldering. and since the led lights up sometimes, i sort of concluded that its a faulty switch.
any idea what's wrong with the jekyll channel? the LED lights up but only sometimes i get the overdrive. anyone else experience this before would care to share?
thanks peeps.
