I'm thinking of getting one. Any pros wanna give advice? So far I'm on a Ibanez gsa06 ltd and a shitty laney.

lanely ain't shitty. i've got one and it sounds quite alright to me. i mean with respect to its size and solid state.

Heh. Yea. But relative to what I heard from the VT, my Laney is pretty shitty.
Mine's a basic one. Just one gain knob for overdrive, master volume and the standard three.

erm... then you're not playing the right Laney. Go check out the LC15R.

Hm.. I'm really interested in your thoughts on the VTs and not Laneys... I find the VTs way more versatile and sexxay sounding.

Hi,
Sorry to borrow your thread. I need advice and reviews on Vox VT30 too.
I'm looking for a practice amp, budget $400. I've tried these so far:

Roland CUBE-30X - $?? -> doesn't sound too good to my ears
Spider III 30 - $292
MG15MSII - $395
MG15MSIIZW - $420 -> not bad, but probably not getting because of the price
Vox VT30 - $296
Ibanez TBX65R - $470 -> over-budget

In the end I came down to Spider III 30, MG15MSII and Vox VT30.

I kind of like the Vox VT30's clean sound, find that the wattage control useful also.
The price appeals to me, but the distortions doesn't sound too good to me (I dunno).

For the Spider III 30, I like it's reverb and the price.
The built-in sounds not as much as vox, but I kind of like it's distortion, it's quite easy to use.

MG15MSII got no fancy build in things, but the clean and distortion sounds very balance to me.
I feel that this marshall sounds more closer to those used in gigs.
I'm using digital-effects, so I was thinking that this might help me get closer the sound i've set at home to the stage.

I've tried reading reviews but only found spider and the marshall microstack.
So, hoping to find reviews on the VT30 and advice on what I should get.

The VT30 is a new series. It's pretty good. I bought one and it sounds great to me.
But I'm not exactly in the best position to give advice. Haha.

Value for money --- but nothing compare to a true tube or the originals....

But still 2 thumbs up - 30 watt for 290 buck--

Darn vox came out with a new model? whats the difference between the ad30vt and vt30? just bought the ad30vt a month back

I am using AD50VT with 11 amp models and totally love it. Just my guitar, and the amp. No more messy cables with effect pedals / boards. Now the new series is coming out and it features 22 amps, so it must be better. Go for VT30...

Check out this demo for the potential of AD30VT... this one is old model with 11 amps, but should be able to convince you.
