to those who use this amp, would like to know how you guys find it??? as im looking into buying 1 thnx for reviews..

Hmm.

The Pathfinder 15R is overall nice and loud and versatile despite the lack of a mid-range EQ knob. But then again if you have a dedicated EQ pedal you can have even more versatile tone.

Default drive is nice and bluesy, cleans are nice too. Have you tried either of those amps?

thnx for your comment on this amp. nope, had nt tried it yet, had read some reviews that its more of a bluesy sound. whereas im more on playing punk rock and rock stuff. haha..any idea how much does it cost?? thnx.

Hmm.

It should be in the $200-$250 range at City music. Not sure of the exact cost.. go to the webby lah

Punk rock is fine with this amp, but in my experience with practise amps, it's definitely worth it to get an EQ pedal and perhaps a distortion box to push the amp (for solos, etc) because despite its "bluesy-ness" it still lacks the bottom end oomph that bigger amps can deliver (duh!), but with an EQ pedal i got that oomph.

Do you have a budget for amps, and are these two the only choice of amps you have narrowed down?

I currently own a Pathfinder 15R and I really like the sound it gives me. But if you're into punk rock and rock stuff, you'll need a distortion pedal to push you in the right direction. The gain on the amp will not do. FYI, the Pathfinder 15R is $168 at City Music....the Pathfinder 10 is even cheaper.

thnx 4 the infor. guys.

Crawldaddy: yup gt a slight budget, juz wanna gt a small practice amp. narrow down to vox cos i like the look of it. :) and the reviews i had read.
but just wanna c wat users of this amps say.

pujangga : yup, will gt a distortion pedal to push the distortion. already gt a couple of them. thnx for your help.

the speakercones will explode if punk is played!

haha nah i doubt so.

pathfinder 15r is an excellent 15watt ss amp, sounds like a tube has good aesthetic value and its good for classic tones!

Yep yep....btw, if you're still deciding between a 10 and a 15R, go for the 15R. It's only a diff of some dollars for an additional 5 watts and a reverb function.
