Hmm.
The Pathfinder 15R is overall nice and loud and versatile despite the lack of a mid-range EQ knob. But then again if you have a dedicated EQ pedal you can have even more versatile tone.
Default drive is nice and bluesy, cleans are nice too. Have you tried either of those amps?

It should be in the $200-$250 range at City music. Not sure of the exact cost.. go to the webby lah :wink:
Punk rock is fine with this amp, but in my experience with practise amps, it's definitely worth it to get an EQ pedal and perhaps a distortion box to push the amp (for solos, etc) because despite its "bluesy-ness" it still lacks the bottom end oomph that bigger amps can deliver (duh!), but with an EQ pedal i got that oomph.
Do you have a budget for amps, and are these two the only choice of amps you have narrowed down?

I currently own a Pathfinder 15R and I really like the sound it gives me. But if you're into punk rock and rock stuff, you'll need a distortion pedal to push you in the right direction. The gain on the amp will not do. FYI, the Pathfinder 15R is $168 at City Music....the Pathfinder 10 is even cheaper.
