$49!! wtf?!?! should have waited...ok but nvm i got my amplug like early this year lol. cool little thing. i think its meant purely for late night jamming when u dun wanna wake people in the house up. so dun expect too much tone from this thing.

You're quite wrong to note expect a lot from it. The Vox Amplug AC30 delivers quite authentic AC tones, complete with EL84 chime.. Superb item for its asking price!

The amplug is like a mini-amp that u plug into ur guitar, and outputs to headphones.

I got an AC30 amplug earlier this year, and i swear it sounds exactly like my roland cube 30x on the AC30 "brit combo" setting... I don't know whether thats praise for roland for copying it well!

3 dials, volume, gain and tone. Can go from clean to crunch, and best of all, you can play all night long! :twisted:

Have you tried connecting the amplug to a PA system or home hifi system instead of the headphones? Does it still sound good?
