the combo. i know, with the 12", it would sound less boxy. considered it till i found the laney. full eq class A/B. 3 x 12ax7 n 2 x el34. more gain on tap, 15w and 0.75w inputs, built in reverb (though not to be proud of). 12" celestion (rocker 50 though). its just like the vox with much much more tonal possibilities.

wondering why for the cub 8 & 10 they uses 6V6 and the 12 uses el84....
more "chimey" in the cleans? more "british" sounding??

i don't know bro. the 8 and the 10 are similar. only difference in the speaker size.

the 12 on the other hand, is like a whole different thing altogether.

yup, 8 & 10 are using the same tubes. where else the 12 is running on EL84 with more EQ controls.
love the gain control especially.
