voodolab

in singapore, as far as i remember only sweelee brought it in. other than that. you're better off ordering from musicians friend. or just get the MXR dc brick from sweelee

Isn't there an issue with the power voltage if you were to purchase the PP2 from the States? They would have it @ 110V and you would need a transformer to use it here... but if there's an opening anywhere, do post... Its one of those things on my Misc.-To-Get list.

Yo Dan,

me too. Looking for some powersuppy unit as well, if the deal is good. Quite a bit of money to plonk down for something that 2 1spots can do, but I'm thinkin it will be a more elegant solution with less/no hum. My 1spots currently hum. Might be cos they share power source with several other loads.

Yeah pls let us know if there's an opening for the PP2, or any other powersupply unit. I heard the custom ones in Sgp aren't cheap as well, is it true? =)

Cheers

I suffer from hum when using 1 x 1Spot during gigs/rehearsals. Its irritating. And the drifting that causes my drive tone to change is irritating-er!

KennethC, i'll check some out, and revert to you... or you do the same lah... i'm very keen on getting it... and a strobostomp... and other misc. things.

The local ones aren't expensive IMO, its an honest work anyway... and I'll pay for it... its just that the modders are busy or they can't find the right/best transformer for the job.

uh no you cant. just to share something from the voodoolabs website.

Important!
The Pedal Power 2 Plus is manufactured to operate from a specific supply voltage. There are three different models which accept 100V, 120V or 240V mains. All units sold in North America are for 120V only. You cannot operate a 120V Pedal Power using 240V power without the correct step down transformer. The supply voltage is marked on the bottom of the unit.

your probably reading from a europe voltage PP2 manual. doh.

ok. Resurrecting an old thread coz I'm thinking of getting PP2+ from the States. Anyone has tried operating a 110V PP2+ with a stepdown transformer? Any issues? Also, any recommendations on a light-weight step-down transformer?

I've done a search before, the European versions usually retail for about ~€190.00, shipping another €20 or thereabouts. You'll get some shipping savings on group orders, but not that much IIRC. Was about to get one myself then got too busy. If you're interested, maybe just post here.

From xe.com
1.00 EUR = 2.16146 SGD
1.00 GBP = 2.81326 SGD

From I last checked, the EUR went up, was under 2 around end-07. Add ~10% for your favourite credit card company's spread.

You wouldn't want to grab a light weight step down transformer too.

Do a search in homefix and other electronics stores - the smallest ones are still heavy and bulky.

Do you need another noise emitting device on/near your board?

Can also consider the BBE Supa Charger -- it's essentially the PP2, minus a few features like the sag control. Another good thing about the Supa Charger (cheesy name BTW) is that it can operate on both 110/240 volts.

my take

ive emailed sweelee 2 months ago
arthur soh said that they'll bring it in, expected to arrive in early april
even CC-ed the email to adam
