As stated above, anyone have any suggestions as to what value i should use for the volume pot in conjunction with doing a treble bleed mod?

Doing this on my Jackson KE3 which is going to have a HAS-Sound Viper and a Has-Sound Fusion in it.

suggestions guys?

all help will be appreciated!

You sure you want the treble bleed?

I'd just recommend what Dimarzio recommends - 250k volume and 1 meg tone.

I used it on my H-H saber last time. Quite the surprise.

But why?
Hehe.

Serious dude, tell me why... let's think abt it...

coz without treble bleed - there is still an effect.

only effect is that there's lesser gain but the highs are still retained.

pathein, a treble bleed mod is to reduce the high frequencies.

unless someone's gonna tell me that its not gonna work?

treble bleed mod in internet speak refers to the retaining the highs as you turn down the volume. If you really want the effect of a tone control, you should install a tone knob. You can wire a small value capacitor say 1000pf parallel to the pickup and it will knock off some treble, but its not switcheable unless you put a mini toggle.

heh, for a while i thot my understanding of treble bleed is in reverse or mixed up, cos when having treble bleed, the highs supposed to be able " bleed" thru then to reduce it when volume is turn down

I don't understand... Sam dude...

You thought the treble bleed REDUCED treble as you roll down the single vol control you had?

Well, just leave the knob stock - there's already a reduction of treble as it is when you roll off.

Isn't that enough?
