Voice recording device

I'm planning to buy a hand held voice recording device (i'm not sure if this is the correct term for it) so as to make it more convenient for me to record my vocals / singing when i have an original composition in mind... i realised i always have ideas and there's no computer around or my phone doesnt gives me a good enough sound quality for playback...

anyone have any recommendations for it?

a decent alternative you could try zoon h2 $200+ and even cheaper zoom H1 $100+ .. you can find all these at www.citymusic.com.sg

Mustafa? CityMusic is the official dealer and will be much easier with warranty and all that. I own the H4n and use it for recording guitars (amped/direct), vocals, found sounds etc, but if you don't need the multiple inputs then just check out the H1 like Auntmall mentioned.

oooo... ic... okay. hmmm, aside from Zoom are there any brands you would recommend too? or is Zoom the best brand for portable handheld recording?

Actually it would be best if its under $100. :X Because my mom's the one who's controlling the money. >.< I googled online and found 2 Olympus model... VN 700 and DP 10 which looks like they have reasonable pricing but its in USD... so i'm not too sure if Singapore has different pricing for them.
