Vigier VS TomAnderson

Anyone tried both wanna comment?..
im looking for a nice H/S/S axe and after a good amount of google-ing , ive deduced that its down to these two super strat style guitars.

Vigier seems to be more advanced with its 90/10 carbon neck system , Zero fret and ball bearing trem.

Tom andersons seem to have a more ... " boutique " status... having heard one in action... its really damn power... too bad didnt get to play it.

DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD i dunno bout vigier BUT I REALLY LIKE THE TOM ANDERSON! i tried my buddy's in perth really really goodness.

prob is they dont sell to singapore man... tom anderson doesnt sell direct.. they sell to their distributers... and sadly singapore doesnt have one.. i tihnk must buy from US and get them to ship here...

vigier , in singapore....carmel media will be getting some stock in may. hope the guy remember to call me..so i can try those babies

Well... if u're going to drop like 5k on a drop top i would play it before i bought it.....

What model of Anderson are u considering?

There are quite a number of Singaporeans with Andersons, the exact model differing quite a bit.

If u can advise, I'd think that someone can chip in.

im looking for probably a drop top/drop top classic .. h/s/s .. doesnt really matter if its hollow or not...

Chan Min,

Why not drop Mr Thomas Leong tyguitar@singnet.com.sg an email to see if he can hook you up with enthusiats who purchased TA DTs from him?

He's doing Tyler, Suhr and Van Zandt guitars these days, but he used to sell TAs in Singapore (so I understand).

Other than the consistency of the well finished necks, you'd really wanna try the SD and SA pickups to see which suits your taste better.

Regards.

Understand that Excel sports is the main distributor for Carvin stuff. Got my Legacy amp from them. BUT, as for guitars, I think they take hell of a long time to get custom orders done. Did you order yours direct frm Carvin and send it to someone in USA or what?

+1 to the Carvins.

Excellent all round. Haven't heard any complaints from any Carvin users before. I believe they have an option to customise you guitars, and like Ironickel mentioned, they are excellent guitars that do not come with an outrageous price tag.

true true... but i'll need to try the vigier ..to fully understand whether or not the Zero fret... ball bearing trem , 90/10 carbon/maple neck is worth its price tag.

Upping this thread... Have you gotten any chance to try the Vigier babes? :D If yeaps, how was it?

well ive tried my frens vigier and i must say its really a super strat. plus the fact now hes selling it. its the expert series. and i do think it has better features than the anderson.

hmm ... i believe i bought a musicman luke... and its still serving me well...
didnt get to try the vigiers or tomandersons.... perhaps in the future ... :p

Hmmm .. zero fret , ball bearing trem, carbon neck
sounds like a Steinberger : )

vigier specs are impressive.. the marilyn standard is darn impressive, in terms of looks and specs.. with dual X2N!!!i checked out carmel media the other day, didn't see anything that said they stock vigier on the website, even though they're listed as the official distributor for singapore...
