“Very”… Zouk’s series of over-the-top theme parties returns with "Very… Brit!" on July 1, 2006 from 9pm. This is a tribute to all things British, especially the British rock & alternative scene that has delivered an impressive number of high caliber bands over the years creating their very own movement!
Universal Music sees the release of not 1 but 4 such bands in the past two months alone; Keane and their Under The Iron Sea, Snow Patrol's Eyes Open, Orson with “Bright Idea” and The Feeling's Twelve Stops And Home.
At “Very… Brit” catch some of their latest videos yet to be released plus performances by our own indie heroes, Electrico, with material off their new album, Hip City plus new kids on the block, The Great Spy Experiment.
In true “Very” fashion we’re going overboard with the Brit theme so get involved! For the ultimate in Brit dress-up, visit Topshop/Topman. The best Brit styled male and female win Topshop/Topman wardrobe worth $300 each. Then feel free to swing back some G&Ts (for the non-English, that’s Gin and tonics) munch on some chips and be chuffed by the entertainment… blimey does that sound fun or what?!
Blimey, there's Poptart at Phuture too! Keeping in line with Zouk's Very Brit party, Poptart, together with their DJs Zaidi, Jah & wee.like.me, consult their stiff upper lips to conjure up a storm to rock your knickers off with a night of British sounds. Expect a mish-mash of tunes from past and present Britpop, Punk, New Wave, Synthpop and a busload of fish and chip madness. Ingerland yeah!
