velcro and pedals! PLS help!

hello! ii have two questions! im really new in pedals so yeah :X

im in the process of fixing up my pedalcase. i bought some velcro alr and im using a pedalcase with some wierd rubber foam inside. the guy that i bought the case from said i could just stick the velcro on the foam and my pedals and voila! its done. but i have some doubts of whether the velcro would hold unto the foam. can someone advice me on this?

my visual sound pedals also have rubber stoppers underneath it. should i take them out?

and shud i just stick like one big patch of velcro or small patches?

remove the rubber stomps

as for the velcro, paste them on your pedals in a way so that it spells out your full name.. anything less would be a compromise

before you velcro your pedal,give it a kiss first..then stick it in it'll definitely hold

take out the rubber studs dude. then just put enought velcro to hold the pedal there firmly, too much and you'll have trouble getting the pedal off if you decide to rearrange your rig. as for the velcro sticking onto the foam....i dont know dude. wouldn't foam rip if you pull the pedal out?

i use those double sided tape to stack them up.. you know, those double sided tape with foam inbetween. then when its high enough, stick your industrial velcro at the end. this way you won't have to remove your rubber foot and destroy the pedal..

yeah i thought of that. the whole interior of the case has a thin layer of the foam still. what are the interior of your pedal cases like? can i see some pictures?

I advise using mounting tape to stick a sheet of velcro that's slightly smaller than your foam.

Don't save on the quality of the mounting tape, from experience it's the cheap mounting tape that falls off instead of the velcro!

it's somewhat like double sided tape. except it has some foam thingy between the two tapes, to sorta 'raise' your pedal off the pedalboard

yeah, just go to some DIY shop or hardware store. ask them for mounting tape. if not, just ask for double sided tape, thick one.

lol i realised that the by sticking layers on "mounting tape" and finally the velcro on the last piece of "mounting tape" is stronger than just sticking a piece of velcro to the pedal. when i opened my pedalboard after leaving it upright for a few days, those pedal with just the velcro alone came off. and no its not the cheapo velcro..
