Vantage basses

Saw a vantage bass at a guitar shop the other day. any thoughts on this brand? still pretty new to bass so i can't tell if something has good value for money. price.. aroudn 350?

Not sure about the basses, but a friend of mine has a Vantage guitar and its quite horrible. Can't stay in tune and it just plain sounds bad.

... nah. just has to be fretless. im not being too particular about tone atm. just mucking around since Im looking for a new bass anyway, using an SX now (its pretty darn good value actually, Ive heard way worse).

theres a fretless sitting at Davis Guitar for 350, tried it yesterday, couldnt hear any dead spots or find any major problem with its build. Im eying a Squier VM fretless though but the Vantage is pretty attractive considering it has 24 frets, which I will utilise. just doesnt feel as pristine as the Squier. Thought I'd ask for an opinion on that since Im relatively new to bass builds heh

never had experience with vantage, but SX seems to be a good value for money, i think some guys here actually bought a SX fretless or even defretted 1.

haha the other option is a new neckk for my SX but I cant find any shops selling necks around here.

Defretting or replacing the neck may (or in many cases, it does) change the sound. So you might wanna be careful with that. Defretting is an irreversible mod.

Kinda want to ask the same question. Aside from vantage and the stagg fusion fretless, is there any other inexpensive but decent fretless bass that is readily available in singapore at the moment?

maybe. I still have the seller on my phone, but an Attitude nad fretless dont go together

hmm does anyone have anymore comments on Vantage? Cus I still have a bad ear for bass sound, haven't played many other basses

other than the fretless vantage the other bass im looking at is the squier vm fretless
