Hi guys i am looking for an electric V shaped guitar. Do you guys have any recommendations? I cant make up my mind. I was considering the razorback V but now I'm out of ideas.

Thanks for your help appreciated lots.

I think a totally metal V guitar would be the Jackson Phil Demmel.. I saw someone selling recently in this forum.. Pretty cheap for a Jackson I must say..

For me I like the Schecter Hellraiser V-1s..:)

Yeah the demolition V looks great but the price is abit too high. I dont think i am willing to spend more than 2000 as i am afraid that the guitar might not be up to expectations.I also do not plan to buy alexi guitar so do not recommend it to me.He is good but i am not too keen about 1 pick up sorry.

I am also hoping that the guitar comes with a floyd rose. Thanks for the suggestions man. But please keep them coming.

dude! go check out the used guitars forum.. I saw someone selling the Jackson Demmel for like $1350.. Bought for 3 weeks or smth..

Dean VMNT mate. Plays like a dream, and those livewire active pickups can do no wrong in my opinion. Alternatively, depending on how heavy and how screechy you wanna get, you can consider between LTD-ESP Alexi models or the Jackson King V as a few people recommended is a good pick too. Those dime models with the dimebuckers will scream above everything else, so I'd be wary if I wanna get that. If you have two people on guitar in the band, you might be causing some havoc with the balance and that pickup :)

ya dude i Love my original jackson pro rr3, and now that its so rare because the originals were discontinued \m/

Hey well i mean firstly would you like a V with a Ultra thin Neck Or A Thin U Neck?

Cause the ESP RV's Alexi Laiho ones have pretty thick necks and i mean alot of jackson RRs have pretty thin necks alot thinner then whats on a ESP RV..ESP SV standards those Alexi Looking ESP V's with 2 pickups is practically the same,Just go and ask to try it out Im sure theyll let you =D.And about the Jackson RR's try to go to the Swee Lee Sims Drive Outlet last time i was there they left me alone with the RR for a long time which i really appreciated and i mean the RR has a really nice Neck Profile. But other then that its just bias upon what sorta genre you like,

i mean if you were that metal sorta guy im most likely getting to think you are then something along the lines with a V with 24 frets,3piece maple necks, the fret board wood is mainly cosmetic, mahogany or alder body,Neck Thru construction(i mean you wouldnt want a bold on neck if you have solos cause it just messes with your finger placement alot)and pickups you decide that.Im not a big fan of other Vs be it BC rich and Dean *No offense to you all :)*Cause of the build quality but hey Ultimately its your decision.Seriously just ask them to try the guitar out =D.I can talk alot more but i mean only if yould really want it hahaha

Seriously thats a great choice, the only issue i have it that its a bolt-on neck. And can you see how far forward the cutaway is,its located at the 19th fret.if you start with thoes solos and more which go to 24 its gonna be damn hard to play ;)

Hahas thanks man but I cant find any neckthrough V guitar except for alexi within my budget. So i am thinking of the bolt on. But thanks for the feedback.

Dont be bias about the bolt-ons.Its not as if the neck-thru ones are the best. Its all comes down to when you try it out yourself.

I used a jackson RR3 for recording and it sounds really awesome...and its a bolt on neck. If you'r interested pm me and i can send the clips to you.

The RR1 (neck through model) is also an awesome sounding guitar :) Its much more expensive though cos it uses better hardware (like an original floyd as opposed to the licensed one on the RR3) but nothing a good setup wouldnt fix. The Jackson licensed trems arent too shabby either- they actually stay in tune and take abuse pretty well compared to other locking trems in a similar price range, for instance the Edge 3s used by ibanez used in their mid-range RGs.
