Using Two Cabinets

Say...in an event where I have two similar heads and cabs(e.g the Gas Haus) and I intend to use both cabinets left and right, can I connect them both without using an ABY box?

I intend to use two cabs left and right as it'll be more 'tight' in a way,and control the settings using only one head, but my ABY box is screwed at the moment.I hope there's a way to solve this problem,I don't know how and I hope you guys will help me out.

Has this got to do with the fx send/return jacks?

I mean, you could make it work like a full stack, right? Put the 2 cabs together and you have a full stack!

What u need is a pedal with a stereo out at the end of your chain. In general most gd chorus or delay pedals would provide stereo out so that u can use the amps as left and right. If u can do that with some panning from the pedal would be quite cool.

1 or 2 egs of pedals with stereo out:
dd3/dd6
line 6 dd4/mm4/echopark
marshall echohead
mxr stereo chorus

liddat then that pedal at the end of the chain must be "always on" rite? so as to get both amps to sound. correct me if i'm wrong

actually the solution is much simpler. on the back of the head, you should see two speaker out jacks. (check out http://www.marshallamps.com/product.asp?productCode=AVT150HX&pageType=SPECS if you don't believe)

One will be connected to a cab, the other should be free. You can run another cable (provided you have one that's long enough) into the free jack, and your one head will be driving two cabs. Tadah! Its basically like running a full stack, just that instead of stacking two cabs on top of each other, they're just located on different parts of the stage. Or you could put them side by side for that extra rockstar shiokness.

In any case, if you want, you can also use the stereo pedal option. And no, you don't need the pedal to be on for the stereo option to work.

Anyway either that or use a pod or voxtonelab as a preamp to connect to the amps return at the back of the 2 amps. Like that confirmed always stereo.

Please use a speaker cable to connect the stuff as well.

A great way to blow up a A/B/Y box is to use it to power cabs.
