About Kevin Mathews: -
Kevin Mathews is a creator, a lawyer by profession and the owner of an international global marketing business.
In addition, Kevin is a singer-songwriter, musician and review writer. In the last twelve years, with bands like Watchmen and Popland, Kevin has released five CDs, the most recent of which was issued by an indie record label in San Francisco.
Kevin has also forged an unlikely alternative musical persona as soundtrack writer having had a hand in the music of several made-in-Singapore films, notably Mee Pok Man, 12 Storeys, Stories About Love and One Leg Kicking and his music can also be heard on TV shows (eg. Seventh Month, Drive) and commercials (eg. Lush 99.5, HSBC).
Perhaps most crucially, Kevin has for more than a decade established himself as a music review writer of some note. Kevin began his writing journey with the Singaporean indie magazine BigO and ventured overseas to write for print magazines like Amplifier (USA), Bucketfull of Brains (UK) and Pop Culture Press (USA) and online zines like Fufkin.com, Nighttimes.com, the Phantom Tollbooth, Pop Matters and his very own Power of Pop.
