wah crowd yesterday siao, like one tsunami hit me hit the drumset..hahaha...u guys are crazy mofos!! Sledge was awesome! if only they covered a few obituary songs as well, id go crazy despite not many ppl were there.

Anyways had a great time entertaining the awesome crowd. Im shacked now. Till the next time!!

I really liked the Sepultura cover by Sledge, really sounded tight and almost like listening to the record. Oshiego, Predatory, Arbitrary Element, Deathsynth all powerrrr. The gig actually went over smoothly by all accounts despite Gas Haus' reputayshun.
 
I think DEM's new line up is fantastic, the vocalist is damn gd, bassists looks really brutal, drummer is gd, but dont think he into metal. Seen them play a couple of times, all of them really look heavy n evil, except the drummer..playin style also weird, sometimes got missin snare n all..doesnt sound like constant playing to me...drummer of DEM, pls be more of a metalhead if u r reading this...

By the way, where r the new members from?? other bands?? i wanna chack em out...anyone knows??

hi metalman, i'm the rythym guitarist for DEM. thanks for the kind words! i'm honoured that your first post in the forum, at 4:30am in the morning, is about DEM :lol:

our new members - on vocals, Mithun, formerly from Dead Eternity. he likes to walk around cemetaries at night and drinks bats' blood to keep his voice in shape.
Doogie, on bass, rumor has it he hails from the highest peaks of the Himalayas and scares villagers at night. but when we heard his fav bassist is Geddy Lee, we knew he was good. but we had to send him for a full body wax first!
and on drums, Shai Singh, from Fen-rir. he really is a metalhead. but he hasn't been playing fast, thrashy stuff for a while. Fen-rir gives him more of a mental workout than a physical one but we'll try to whip him into shape asap! thanks for the feedback :)

we're working on some bios for the band members soon, if you wanna know more about the band. should be up on the myspace when it's ready. thanks for the interest!

Thanks for the comments. Well here's the thing about us. All of us are from different genres. For me , I used to play with Azra-el ( Old Death Metal) and Bhelliom( Previously power metal). Rory is into thrash , Doogie into old metal ( Sabbath,etc), Mithun into cyber thrash and doom, and Singh into technical stuff,.

for the snare that he was missing, its basically his off beat timing. Which are incorporating into the older and newer songs


anyway, glad you enjoyed the set and mighty hail to all who attended and moshed along to our songs. And look out for the new Ep scheduled to be released in June.

Dressing wise it doesnt matter ( Roy has been seen to wear red baseball jerseys on occassion) . Its the attitude and the music that counts :)

Thx for the info on DEM RyanJ, but i think metal is a genre that beats any other genre of music when it comes to musical talents...metal musicians r basically the best at wat they do...n ur drummer altho comes from a tecnical background should know that metal music on its own is tecnical enough....

i'm sure everyone hear will agree on wat i m sayin...every metalhead at soft would agree that metal is THE genre....n i personally feel ur drummer is spoilin the metal genre for his tecnical stuff....

he should know n love playin metal the way it should be played....any loser can play tecnical stuff...but not everyone can play metal....

DEM is great....but leave the tecnical part to the other loser musicians...not our metal musicians...cos metal musicians r the best in the world....i know know everyone knows thats a fact n will agree on this....

like wat Rory said...pls whip ur new drummer into a metal drummer n not like those loser tecnical drummers....

i dont think he can even play any song from metal gods like slayer...can play symphony x doesnt mean gd....jst means hes a loser....

no offense to ur drummer, but if u r readin this....pls learn to play metal....

metal is wat will make u a gd drummer....not tecnical stuff....

He made 2 contradictive quotes in his latest post.

AND

I fuse your 2 contradictive quotes together and I can only deduce 1 thing out of it....

So what you are trying to say is that metal music is LOSER'S MUSIC?

First you say that any loser can play technical stuff but not everyone can play metal. Fine I'm okay with that sentence BUT you cross the line when you said that metal music on its own is technical enough.

So all in all what are trying to say is that metal music are for LOSERS?

If so....then why are you a HARDCORE loser (opps....I mean metalhead) in the first place? :roll:
