Hi guys I'm new here and I need some help with tuning.
I need help tuning 2mounted toms and 1 floor tom. Also snare and bassdrum
Anyone care to share tips on how to tune them? I like the tune derek roddy tunes his drums too.Anyone care to share ideas how to tune them that way?
Or could someone tune my drums for some cash

Hey ya, are you new to drums? Spending money getting people to tune your drums is a waste of money... You need to really learn how to do it yourself. Moreover, its a preference thingy so do some research on your own. Don't be lazy coz google is your best friend. There are tons of information and there are even step by step video demonstration showing you how to tune your drums. This are all the basics you need to know about tuning a drums which is crucial for a drummer to know. Once the drums are tuned doesn't mean it will stay in tune all the time... Drums being drums and we kinda bang on it everything, we will need to tune the drums every now and then. Temperature of the room will also affect the tone of the drums. So, tuning drums is essential to a drummer. You will need to do it everytime...

Just a quick pointer, if you want to tune your drums to sound like a certain drummer that you listen from a CD, you can forget it. Chances are their drum sound are all being mixed and EQ through mixer to sound nice. Having said, the drums still needs to be tuned.

Hahaha. Ya, I agree tuning of the drums is really personal most of the times.

Was jamming last saturday.

Bassist: "Eh your snare sounds weird today"
Me: "Isit?"
*loosen skin abit by quarters and /smack*
Me: "Sounds better?"
"No"
*repeat*
Bassist: "Yar, better liao"
*scratch head and tighten juuuuust abit cuz I didn't like the current sound*
