Tuning problems

Newbie to gear-related guitar issues.

I have tuning problems, making it impossible for me to change from E to D tuning. Whenever i tune a string, another string goes out of tune. Is this a problem with the strings or the bridge (ibanez edge III), because i havent changed my strings for more than a month and rust is building up at the back.

This happens to all tremolo equipped guitars.
You need to keep tuning till you get all tuned up properly.

Assuming you're using standard tuning now.

The springs in the trem cavity (A) acts against the standard tuning string (B) tension to create a balanced tremolo.

So now A = B and you get a good setup tremolo
Once you drop tuning, B gets smaller, so now A > B , and the bridge gets pulled into the body a little. Once that happens, all other strings will go high.

It would better to change your strings.
