Goose don't do amp jobs no more. Sound Alchemy have a long queue of amps awaiting repair at the moment...

 Still looking...

Bro if you source out the same model number the tubes can be change out yourself for a cheap good price without paying the service man. Changing tubes is easy. There's one high end Audiophile shop at bencoolen square beside sim lim square at 1st level, you can buy almost all the model tubes from there. I think its Martin Audio or something, just check it out. And they can recommend you an amp repair shop/service for your tube amp just in case you want to sent it in. You don't need a guitar shop to do it for you.

Hey Man,

Thanks for the info. Yeah i've been to that shop before Martin Electronics (Burlington Square) and bought replacement tubes for my HT5. Only 2 tubes then. But i am really afraid that i might do some damage if i were to replace 8 tubes... Anyways, about the cost, i so agree with you. The service itself costs over hundred dollars without the tubes and it takes so long to get the job done. Maybe if i should get down to Martins and try talk to them as you suggested.

Thanks & Cheers Bro !!!

Bro don't need to be afraid that you will spoil your amps by changing the tubes, I've swap so many tubes before including the pre amp tubes and nothing will happen to your amp. As long as you don't touch the electronics it will be fine. Try to get a contact cleaner and spray the socket contact points to clear the dust and debris before putting in the new tubes. The new tubes will sing its way if you make sure the socket contact is clean. You can get those contact cleaners at any electronics or hardware shops.

I had my 2 channels 50x50 Marshall power amps for about 15years now and never once it went to the service shop. All I did was open it up do some dust cleaning with a blower, vacuum cleaner and contact spray. I don't know the amp now but mine is original Made in England Marshall and it stills sings from the day it was born
