ts9,ts9dx and ts7

if you are expecting a major difference- not really. the individual character is best heard when they are used in conjunction with an already driven amp. mine:

to my ears- i agree that the TS7 in its 'HOT' mode gives off a rather intense drive (which is still kinda mild). if you like the average tubescreamer tone but wish for a more intense response, check out Keeley's modded units.

ShredRat, how much distortion are you looking at.

Because. No matter what TS you choose, its not going to give you death metal, heck, not even metal, HECK, not even hard rock!!!!

haha..shredcow...eh...i just want a "strong" overdrive not too much distortion.yea.anyway where can i get the ts besides soft online store?

if u want a strong overdrive, i don't think a ts will do...

i agree with dwarfstars that the blues driver 2 by boss would be a better candidate. :)

Alternatively, u cld buy a Mike Mod DS-1 at www,standardvalue.com.sg and then use a TS-808 to boost it. Nice tones, jus wat u said u wanted. Put the DS-1 tone at around 9 o'clock, distortion at 2 o'clock and push the TS-808 to the max. Very nice sound. Btw, use the TS-808 only. I find that the other Tubescreamers dun sound very gd with this particular modded pedal.

I've good tones from any Randolf modded pedals.

His DS1 mods are unique to the user - he customises it for you.

Tany, I don't think the Hotcake is within the budget of the threadstarter.
