HEY GUYS! got some questions to ask.

FLOYD ROSE (original, licensed,EDGE)dyu guys find it a hassle to drop tune your guitars?
is there anyway/shortcut to properly drop tune it?

WHERE THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO GET TREMSETTERS for my JEMJR? :X

HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GET RID OF OXIDATION ON MY EDGE AND STUFF?

MANY MILLION THANKS! ((((:

A floyd rose is obviously, and I mean OBVIOUSLY, not optimised for quick tuning changes.

It gives you the ability to perform extreme whammy stunts and keeps in tune better than a fixed bridge system... and it doesn't sound too shabby either.

Can't have it all in one system ya know?

As for your question on tremsetters, all I have to say is... do more research. Getting that doesn't mean you can change tunings on the fly.

alright noted. you naggy cow. ):
you sound so scary.
i just want to use it to stablise the trem :X

you need me to lolx, heez, yoz, hee hee, lala, hahaha, and emoticon my words?

Why do you need to "stabilize" your trem? The EDGE III on your JEM Jr should be alright without having to throw in the tremsetting which would require wood work, stiffen your trem, prevent flutter, and the guitar will still go out of tune when you change tuning/break strings anyway.

you are one loud guy... i dislike!

The Eddie Van Halen Tuna Drop D System

hope it helps loud guy :)

Note, for the D-Tuna...

Look at the floyd rose routes. What difference do you see?

Its for a non-recessed floyd. Meaning, the floyd rose rests on the body of the guitar. That way, when you detune, the floyd does not shift = your tuning remains stable.

You can use the de-tuna only if you block your trem to dive only.

TS: Do you use the whammy frequently, whammy the hell out of your guitar?. If you don't, rather use a fixed bridge guitar for your drop tunings.

actually i also had a similar problem as TS, i wanna drop tune my guitar by one step across all six strings and yet be able to use all 24 frets, cos some songs that i wanna learn uses the 24th fret on the 1st string on that drop-tuned guitar. Of course, on a standard-tuned guitar, it would be instead the 22nd fret, which most guitars have....

if i were to use a standard tuned guitar to play the drop-tuned songs, i can't get the D on the 6th string......

i know ppl invent the drop-D tuning to overcome this problem on a 22-fret guitar, but sometimes i just wanna play according to what the tabs say, too lazy...so i think i can understand what the TS asked, for i'm also afraid of my floyd....my guitar's a bit fragile now :(

haha, sorry for the sudden 'hijacking' or outburst, just that i also wanna get some feedback from more experienced players. i prefer to let a guitar tech drop-tune my guitar for me to prevent additional stress and tension on the guitar's body (if i were to do it manually)....and at the same time, keep another fixed bridge guitar to play the standard-tuned songs. any mistakes or misconceptions for my thoughts????
