travel insurance for your gear?

Hi guys,

I need advice on the following;

1) would it be advisable to get travel insurance for your gear if your playing
overseas?

2) is there another alternative (other than insurance-wise or just pure
luck :roll: ) to safe- guarding your gear when you play over seas?

3) any good reccomendations for such companies?

Absolutely! Where are you goint to perform? Do you have lots of equipment? Also consider insuring for theft if you're overseas.

You can check out most of the standard insurance companies. AIA has quite good travel insurance but I'm not too sure about equipment insurance. However, I've heard of bad testimonies from some saying that actual claiming from AIA takes a lot of effort. Having said that, my family is insured by AIA since we are overseas.
