Total gas!

Nice. Wanna check out the Dargie pieces if they do bring em in.
But there is an option to do 'custom' pieces through Sinamex. Like different options (pickup configs) and colors. But you have to wait like 4 months for it. The last time i checked.

Anyone knows whether Sinamex still offers their installment plans thing for StingRays?

you'll be looking at paying a huge extra mark up i think... to pay for their profits and warranty.

if you import in on your own then no warranty covered, but the price is much much lower.

you can look at it this way.

OLP < SUB < Sterling < EBMM

oh and if i'm not wrong, OLP has nothing to do with EBMM. they just make copies.

Interesting hierachy, when the Sterling by Musicman series is made in Indonesia, while the S.U.B series from the USA.

The SUBs utilize Poplar mostly and have the coveted 2-band EQ (or passive for some rarer basses). AND its priced lower. Don't let the price point fool you.

well i just obtained a SBMM Ray34 bass and would like to say its plays and sounds amazing even for a Made in indo seriously. the Swampash body is extremely light much lighter than my MIA fender jazz and mim p bass

man..it was love at first sight. and the playability made it even more awesome.

just my 2 cents

Nice. Probably gonna order a Ray35 in December.
Do you have a EBMM Stingray? If so how'd you find both of them. In terms of tone. Does it sound close? or similar.

well i have played a EBMM b4 and the ray34 sounds close to the stingray.

However the strings on it aren't as good. but it sounds really awesome

Are you talking about me? Yeah, I'm the one selling the Tony Levin 5-String OLP bass.

=)

But I'm not really a salesperson so here's the truth. It's better to buy an EBMM if you don't mind waiting and saving up. It is much better than the OLPs.

In my opinion OLP is good for those that have just come out of Beginner level playing. I would get an EBMM if I was a working adult, but noooo. Gotta wait.

Feels weird saying this, but yeah buy EBMMs. You won't regret it, compared to "wasting" money on an OLP.

=D
