Not in any particular order, but these are off the top of my head...
1. The guitarring on "speed king" as played on the album "Black Night, a deep purple tribute according to New York" by Vinnie Moore, Richie Kotzen, Joe Lynn Turner, Al Pitrelli, Cory Glover et al. Probably one of the best rock albums I have. A totally funky version of DP.
2. Mother Tongues, by John Mc.Laughlin, Kai Eckhardt and Trilok Gurtu, each one of the musicians is unparalleled. This is from "live at the royal festival hall".
3. Little wing, and riviera paradise by Stevie Ray Vaughan.
4. Tin Pan Alley by Melvin Taylor and the slack band. Melvin is a jazz influenced blues guitarrist, pretty awesome guy.
5. Glasgow Kiss, by John Petrucci fom his album "Suspended animation".
6. Five-O and Lil' Darlin by Martin Taylor from his albums "kiss and tell" and "solo", not really blistering solos but wonderful music.
