Strapping Young Lad - City
(totally blew me away when I first heard it...it still does!)

In Flames - Whoracle (do I need to say why I love it?)
In Flames - Come Clarity (still a very new album but I already LOVE it!!!)
Tiamat - Skeleton Skeletron (and the best goth-metal album)
Moonspell - Sin/Pecado (it leads you to a soothing journey...a masterpiece)
The Kovenant - Animatronic (brilliantly fused with electronics)
Hypocrisy - Hypocrisy (Peter Tagtgren...genius)
Shotgun Messiah - Violent New Breed (wall of sounds, aggressive & violent!)
Pantera - Far Beyond Driven (love Dimebag's work on this one, RIP )
Amorphis - Elergy (it proves that any genre can work with Metal music)

I wish I could list down more albums from a few Metal bands, but those albums are too mellow to be Metal...

Wow..after finally getting the new dragonforce i would firmly place it in my top10.. the vocal melodies imo have improved tremedously and everything i previously loved is still here...the millions of riffs per song..the insane leads...i swear if these guys played any faster they would travel back in time...

I've got the Dragonforce latest album too recently. But I dunno, as technically brilliant as they are, it's hard for me to sit down and listen to the whole album without having my attention span waning. The similar speed of most of the songs played can be monotonous, same with the guitar tricks like the overuse of whammy pedals, it soon becomes too mechanical sounding to me. In short, most of the songs are interchangeable and sound pretty samey. I find that I can appreciate one or two songs per sitting but not the whole album. Ah hell, Maybe I'm not much of a power metal fan.
