Toneport UX1, any good?

I'm looking to try and record my guitar tracks but when I use my RG -> Zoom Gfx -> Mic, it sounds awful, bassy. I've looked around and found that Direct box will improve the guitar signal but stumped onto Toneport UX1.

I've checked their website, and its really simple from what they've shown, nice sounds too.

Just wondering, what are your experiences with it, and how much can I get it for?

i have one. personally i think the modeling isnt that nice. i use it for the mic inputs and the mic preamps to mic my amp for recording.

I have the UX2 and I echo bro ciel's sentiments.

at first I thought it sounded good during the honeymoon stage but after around 8 months with it,the modelling cabs and amps sound and feel pretty dry and lifeless IMHO.

I ,too use the mic preamps to mic my Roland JC60, as that is the only way i feel I can get a decent quality tone.

i'm looking at getting one :D

I've got a iabenz tone blaster 25r. dont plan on changing it anytime soon so hopefully it doesnt sound too bad.

I'm aiming to save up and get it, so 200 it is?

I'm thinking of using it with Guitar Rig or some of my amp sims VSTs.

Hey same here. :D , the overdrive sounds immense.

Oh man, an extra 8 bucks, anyway, which ones your getting nitrovo? UX1 or 2?

It's the same right, just for its extra stuff like, extra mic ect ect.

Ahh, just got back from calling them, the prices are [from CityMusic], UX2 is $380, and $250 for the UX1.

Walauey, expensive sia.
