Time to recycle used strings

Hi all,

I'm wondering how all of us handed with used or unwanted strings (guitar,bass,string instruments).

I'm thinking of whether if we could collect the used/unwanted strings and at the end of the year, we all meet and consolidate the strings, sell to the garung guni and donate the small sum to Soft forum as an act of support.

Does it sounds good? Just a suggestion and idea from me cos i think it's time to recycle rather than throwing away as a waste.

used strings are dangerous right ?

i always got this feeling that the sharp end may poke my eyes some day

That's why I either blunt the ends or make loops. I don't want my cat to come running to me with strings stuck on her eyes. O_O omg.
