hey, i am looking into these 3 times.

1.Timbre SR108/109/200 (Chinese Made)
2. Samick interceptor (Korean made)

Recently i know about the timbre strat copies. It has good reviews here on soft, but the Samick also seem to be an attractive guitar.

Price of the Interceptor(used) is 110 bucks lower than the SR200(new).

If u were me, which will u choose? For a non metal/rock player. Mainly bluesy or pop stuff.

if the samick ones ur refering to are the Greg Bennet series, its a good buy.if its the older ones..u shud stay away..

i wudnt go for gio series of ibanez.

den it depends on your needs..

do u want a single coil tone for your neck or humbucker?

go and try them out dude.

hmm.. both the same setup. so i suppose the ibanez grx70 is out?

budget wise is okay... i can afford.

but there are some negative reviews about the squier but not for the interceptor.

what will be u guy's decision?

dude..we can make decisions..but its YOU who has to live with it. :D

so i suggest..tryin out both of it.

tho my vote is with samick.

hmm...
Squier, sounds like typical cheap guitar, like those craftsman and low end aria, for some strat copies.

samick sounds a bit warmer.

but i am not sure about the brand and stuff.. and is it easy to sell and trade.

i'd take the squier. but i'm strictly a LP and strat dude so there's a bit of a bias there..

y not consider timbre? 1 piece alder, bone nut....

actually i would say ibanez gio isnt bad at all.. you just need to do some easy adjustments to suit your liking.

oh and yes.. the mic guitars are good too.. because the resulting part is all about if you can make the guitar sing..i mean.. these are begginers guitar you are talking abt rite?

for Ibanez GIO models, the non-floating bridge ones are better in terms of tone/ reliability. specifically, i'd recommend these 2 models:

*GSZ120 (review available @ the database...)

if me I'll go for squier man.....i owned a squier cali before. It became a good guitar after i changed the pickups. very comfy neck. the other good thing is that it's quite easy to sell it again.

generally, I'll say just avoid any GIO Ibanez w/ locking tremolo like a plague (with the exception of a 2007 special GRG with Edge 3... see Ibanez website for more details).

There is another beside the GXR though, which is spring special for 2007... The GRG (yep 24 frets) with blood-stained black finish. As I said, see Ibanez webby for more details. Dunno if it's in stock though.

hi thanks for all ur reply.

i think i am only restricted to the 3 models states in the first post. because i am getting second hand.

The timber strat copy looks good, but not sure about the sound. and i dont think is there a second one on soft, is there?
