Tight body cavities - anyone with experience?

All our nice onboard preamps, effects, active pickups etc etc need those 9v batteries and sometimes there's just not enough space..

The 12V little batt is the kind commonly used for remotes. Keen to try, but worried about lifespan. Anyone with experience? Any views?

wow, looks damn cramped inside! haha... pretty interesting though.
i'll probably give it a shot soon just to see how efficient it is once i get my hands on some duncan livewires.
