Those of you with Suhrs come hither!

Tell me please. What was the defining USP for you to pick up a Suhr? What was so good about it compared to a well made Fender Strat (yes, when you eventually find one)? What about this guitar was worth that extra $$$?

(reason I'm asking is because I'll be somewhere in Dec with the chance to pick one up. But it's either this, or something else, so I'd like to know from an owner's perspective as much as possible before I go in blind.)

Please share.

I don't own one but have worked on a few ...much better construction and wood quality compared to current Fender offering.

Saying that... i have held and strummed a few early 70's Fender strat's ...
....now thats a differant story ...

Heh... Vintage strats aside (I've played some FANTASTIC oldies)... Are they worth that extra $$$?

I've played an actual '68 sunburst strat at Ebenex...not a reissue...seriously the sound was just MOJO...the way the guitar spoke was just indescribable.....

And for the price it was going for, it was a serious steal...
