Hmm...i want some glassy sound

The tone is of a stratocaster thru a overdrive pedal/overdriven amp with some univibe effect pedal in the background. It is a rather jimi hendrix inspired clip there

If you want to have the tone in the radio clip, stratocaster is the way to go. The single coil pickup characteristic is all in there. Glassy sound? Chk out fender tube amp. If not, another way is to use a treble booster in your effect chain. The glassy tone can be achieve thru a bright amp, lowering the mid, push the treble or like i say, a treble booster will help. And using a strats or tele would be more easier to achieve the glassy tone than a humbucker equipped guitar, imho

yeah, LP and explorer come with humbucker pickup. Some LP comes with P-90 style pickup. P-90 pickup is in between hum and single coil pickup. The single coil like tone can be found in p-90 and sound more hotter but not as fat as the humbucker

Yeah back then hendrix's sound was the music of huey's flying over the vietnamese fields. If you've got a line6, there's a preset there that really sounds like it.
