We musicians are supposed to be family. Undoubtly this has become quite a bit of an argument. Let's just all step down. Just that, in the future, just make the comments a little more neutral, that way, it'll sound less provocative and start off another major argument. I just feel that this dude is plain show off. and its not point training and practicing so hard to play a flurry of notes at 240 bpm that sounds like crap.

Someone please tell me how this is not dissing HIM???

Playing a bunch of rubbish and saying that "yeah i'm just anyhow playing fingering exercises, no melody there, just plain old speed for ya" is plain showoff.

for all you know if he wants to showcase his speed he can play rising force at twice the speed or something or even his own compositions. why resort to playing a bunch of fingering exercises that he's been practicing.

I'm just stating the facts. Its plain show off.

and if you still have a trace of diginity you wont respect that or demand ppl to acknowlegde such a player.

Hey guys,

I didn't keep track of this thread but i guess playing doesn't means shredders. Jazz guitarist and even classical guitarist play fast and i mean freaking fast.

If you said shredders makes the crappy music wait till you listen to some improvisation by a jazz band. It's really crappy and sounds so dissonance and the pianist sounds like a 3 yr old kid hitting the keys but that's just music to them. I guess we as musician must keep an open mind to other music not within our comfort zone.

Bill Burke is another to take note off. No shred speed stuff here. It's all slow. Two handed tapping on his 8 string guitar, much like a piano, but with the added advantage of slides, vibrato etc.
