thinkin of gettin an electronic set

Hey QWEbie, i also bought the Roland V-Drums (TD3 kit with TD6V module)...you got complains from neighbours downstairs eh? So far i only played daytime lah (got no complaints yet...haha, hopefully things continue that way). But what kind of platform (material wise) do you have in mind?

...and i thought put carpets underneath is enough liow :smt017

the time when i got a complaint was about 7-8pm(last week). I've been playing from 4-8pm last time before my exams were nearing.

Its weird, maybe just suay, they had a bad day or something. haha.

my td-6 got a layer of carpet already, to prevent it from moving around, esp the bass pedal.

material wise, the only one i came into mind was wood(alot of types out there, dunno which one though)... anyone else has other ideas?

Total soundproofing cost alot of money.

For an effective one, imagine your room in another room, floating. Its like a vacuum.

Adding carpets, eggcartons, foam is just a treatment, it will take a few dB off away from each frequency.

But hey, we can't have it all. Good luck!
